On the place, where the dry tree formally created a shadow, i placed pieces of the tree cut in the center. On the slope, the contours of the tree form a river, that is running into the place of the tree roots.
In May 2008, a Japanese television crew (NHK) filmed a flying fish off the coast of Yakushima Island, Japan. The creature spent 45 seconds in flight. This is thought to be one of the longest recorded flights by a specimen of that family. The fish was able to stay aloft by occasionally beating the surface of the water with its caudal fin. The previous record was 42 seconds.
for a long time i am trying to find a way, how to use art as a tool to social change. By the same time to keep it what it was for a centuries: expression of beauty.
And i am trying to find an equilibration between these two different routes, two different expressions. Like a flying fish, once in the air, once under the water.
